Traveling with the Carico family | Spain and the Canary Islands Cruise

November 13, 2012

This past October, members of the Carico family embarked on a trip of a lifetime! They traveled from all parts of the world to be a part of this spectacular 7-night journey aboard the Adventure of the Seas traveling through Portugal and the Canary Islands.

For most, the trip began aboard the Adventure of the Seas, but for those Carico stars who shined just a bit brighter it started touring the city of Mijas with Mr. Cappadona, President of Carico International. This ultra VIP excursion allowed a handful of individuals the opportunity to enjoy some one on one time with Mr. Cappadona touring the city followed by an intimate dinner at Valparaiso.

Once the rest of the group arrived, it was time to set sail on the open seas. The cruise introduced us to towns we had never visited before as each day brought on a new adventure. We took in breathtaking views riding the cable cars and  held on in fear while being guided in baskets downhill through the town of Monte in Funchal, Portugal. It was quite an experience!

We toured the  Canary Islands visiting the islands of Tenerife, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, and Lanzarote each of which offered its own uniqueness. The volcanic islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria introduced us to the purity and stark beauty of the craters and natural parks. Mirador and LagOmar in Lanzarote offered us the most stunning of views and gave us the chance to make friends with hundreds of little blind crabs in Jameos del Agua. All of which was the perfect example of nature at its extreme.

Words cannot capture the moments we shared and for those of you who weren’t a part of this, I know you will never want to miss this opportunity again. Enjoy this recap video and pictorial of the special moments we shared together. As a part of the Carico family, this is just part of the journey you will not want to miss!
